Building Expertise Event Website

BACKGROUND
Learning Sciences International (LSI) needed to quickly transform its annual flagship educators conference from in-person to virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic-induced stay-at-home orders. A crucial part of the attendee experience was a dynamic event website for the live conference as well as the on-demand content available after the event.

TIMELINE: 3 weeks

CHALLENGE
LSI needed a flexible event website for the three-day live conference and 30 days of on-demand content for 1800 attendees. The build and testing time was extremely truncated, and the content was a massive project with many variables and unknowns. In addition, the platform technology provider was severely understaffed, compromising the short timeline and integrity of the content, resulting in more revisions than typical site builds of this nature.
